This movie follows the road that Billy Bean took to try to change how baseball was recruited and played.  The movie takes the audience behind the scenes with the general manager to see how they make deals recruit, hire, fire and trade players.  We also see the dad side of Billy (Pitt) and how he was all about baseball and his daughter Casey (Dorsey).  Peter (Hill) is an interesting character who doesn’t have a background in baseball but he does complement Billy who knows all about baseball.

Elizabeth’s Thoughts:

This was a long movie but a good movie.  I give it 3 base hits!

Sunshine’s Thoughts:

Not a whole lot to say about this one, the premise is simple, the acting was good, and the movie was entertaining.  This will probably garner some Oscar Nominations just because it is the feel good sports movie of the year.  It was definitely worth my time and money so I would recommend you check it out. I give it 4 base hits!

It may not feel quite like the classic baseball movie others have achieved, but it’s certainly pleasant enough to be enjoyable even by non-sports fan, and features great performances from Hill and Pitt. Good review. Check out my site when you can!
