Raising Hope returned last night with a bang.  Viewers got a re-cap of the first season through song.  Shelly  sung a song about Hope’s life as she returned from summer vacation to daycare.  Hope is now a toddler walking and trying to talk.  Jimmy was watching videos of when he was a kid with Hope and found out he used to be able to play the piano and sing!  His parents finally confessed that Maw Maw used a puppet to teach him the piano but after 8 months of Jimmy being good at playing the piano a freak accident occurred.  Jimmy was playing putt putt with his mom and got hit in the head with a putter.  All the girls had Jimmy Fever until that day.  All of these years his mother thought it was kids that were bullying him but it turned out to be his dad who threw it and accidentally hit Jimmy in the head.  Ever since then Jimmy has not had his talent.  In an effort to get it back and be good it something nothing worked so Jimmy, Virginia and Burt got drunk and listed off things they were good at which included drinking and loving each other.  In a drunken state Jimmy and Burt sung a song and Jimmy sounded good.  He went to the piano and was able to play!  All of this was great until Virgina had him in a talent show and with a six pack and he could not recreate the magic again.  This was a hilarious episode and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Hope!
