Here is what you got to hear last night on the season finale of Glee:
- My Cup peformed by Brittany and Artie
- I Love New York performed by New Directions
- Still Got Tonight performed by Mr. Schue
- Bella Notte peformed by New Directions Boys
- For Good performed by Rachel and Kurt
- As Long As You’re There performed by Sunshine Corazon
- Pretending performed by Finn and Rachel
- Light Up The World performed by New Directions
There is not really much to say about last nights Glee. It was fine, there were a lot of original songs that were decent but not amazing. In fact Brittany’s song My Cup was probably the most entertaining of all the songs tonight and it was meant as a joke. The entire story line didn’t make much sense as New Directions was just working on original songs a couple days out from Nationals. Now, I have never written an original song, but I would imagine that writing it, fine tuning it, setting it to music, and doing choreography would be something a glee club would want to do as least a week out from a National showcase (if not more!).
Will does his broadway thing, gets told he has the chops, but then decides to hang with this kids so there goes that cliffhanger. Finn professes his love to Rachel but she can’t reconcile love with Finn and her love of Broadway. Finally, during the Nationals performance, Finn makes his big move and kisses Rachel, how sweet, and they are clearly back together. Things don’t end so well for New Directions as a whole because they don’t even make the top 10 at the competition. So, yeah, i’m guessing next season they will think about prepping before they get to the competition.
After there 12th place finish, everyone returns home. The only true twist was at the end when Sam and Mercedes walk into the coffee shop were Kurt and Blain apparently live. They are on a little coffee date, but apparently don’t want anyone to know as they try to play it off as coincidence but secretly hold hands. It was cute and a little unexpected but I think it works.
Overall, not a great season of Glee, there were some high points, but it was mostly lows. I hope things get back on track next season. What did you all think?
