Your Highness stars James Franco as Fabious, Danny McBride as Thadeous, Natlie Portman as Isabel, Justin Theroux as Leezar and Zooey Deschanel as Belladonna. Fabious, the classic hero of our movie, has rescued Belladonna from Leezar and plans to marry her but on their wedding day Leezar comes back for Belladonna. Leezar’s evil plan is to impregnant Belladonna with a dragon on the day the two moons meet. Fabious is ready to go find his bride but his brother Thadeous is not interested. The king gives Thadeous the ultimatum of helping Fabious or losing his role in the kingdom.
Our brothers set out on their quest meeting numerous characters, many gross at times (i.e. the potential child molesting Great Wize Wizard) with Thadeous smoking weed and laying out the one liners. In their quest the brothers meet Isabel, the last remaining member of the Golden Knights who is out to avenge the deaths of her brothers. Thadeous falls hard for Isabel and her silver chastity thong, and while the feeling is not intially mutual he wins her over with a minotaur penis (going the classic path of all romances). The brothers and their motley crew complete their quest and in classic knight and maiden movie fashion all ends well.
Your Highness is nothing new, its classic gross out, pot smoking humor. But when you mix McBride, Franco and Portman together things get a little more fun. I laughed out loud during almost every scene, and for me thats a good sign in a movie. This movie will definately not be for everyone, it is low brow humor—at its lowest. Anything that involves a minotaur penis hanging around a mans neck is not going to be a crowd pleaser, but I loved it! Plus knowing that Portman opposes any plan that includes impregnating someone with a dragon makes me feel just a little safer. Keeping in mind this is a very specific low brow type of humor, I give it 3 out of 5 chastity belts.
What can you say about this film? It was hilarious, laugh out loud fun for me. As Sunshine mentioned this is not for the young or the serious so don’t complain if you see it because you have been warned. Franco was amazing to look at, McBride was hilarious as always and Portman topped off the cast with her comedic lines given so gracefully. I give this film 3/5 chastity belts!
