So I’m not particularly interested or not interested in Paul as a movie in and of itself.  However, I am a huge Simon Pegg and Nick Frost fan and would recommend you see any movie they are in.   Every thing they do makes me laugh.  Speaking of them always making me laugh, the entire point of this post is to direct you to this video clip where Pegg and Frost attemp to recreate a scene from Star Wars.  It’s pure gold and a sure bet to brighten your day.  Oh, and see Paul in theaters this weekend!

  1. […] Paul stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as hapless nerds that stumble across an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) after visiting Comic Con.  Gareme (Pegg) and Clive (Frost) (or Eggy and Sausage as they are more fondly known)  decide to take an RV trip of all the most famous alien related sites in America ending in Roswell.  In classic “buddy movie trip” style hijinks ensue as soon as the trip begins (the guys run into some “rednecks” played by David Koechner and Jesse Plemons and promptly make enemies).  These hijinks only get wackier when you add in Paul the alien.  Turns out Paul (named after the dog he crash landed on) has been on Earth for about 60 years and has become of the face of aliens in hopes of softening the blow when humans actually meet aliens.  Paul is rude, crude, and funny and on a mission to get home.  The boys agree to help him out and along the way make some new friends (Jeffrey Tambor, Jane Lynch, Kristen Wigg) and some enemies (Koechner, Plemmons, Bill Hader, Sigourney Weaver).  The plot of Paul is not earth shattering, you will know within the first few minutes of meeting Paul how this story will end, but it is fun getting there.
