Do not get confused.  This is not a Fast and Furious installment.  Faster was pretty fast and then slowed up in the end.  Dwayne Johnson gave a great performance as “Driver.”  A man out for revenge for his brother’s death after a bank heist.  We travel down an emotional road of revenge with Driver as he goes on a killing spree for everyone involved in his brother’s death!

“Cop,” played by Billy Bob Thornton has 10 days left until his retirement until he gets the case trying to find Driver and stop the killings.

“Killer,” played by Oliver Jackson- Cohen, is order to kill Driver before he finishes the list.

This film has you rooting for the kill and then fizzles out when Driver gets to his “last man.”  In the end he looks to forgive and die to be with the one person who cared about him.  His brother.  When Driver and Killer finally have a gunpoint conversation, Killer makes Driver think about there being one more person he didn’t have on the list.  The person who planned the kill.  I wont spoil this for you but I left the movie thinking duhh and why did Killer have a side storyline.  His character in the end  was pointless.

Elizabeth’s Thoughts:

If you love Dwayne Johnson and want to see his gun show, if you love movies where people have a list of people to kill, I say go see this movie.  3/5 gun shows!

Sunshine’s Thoughts:

This movie would have been a complete loss for me without Dwayne Johnson.  My love for The Rock has gotten me to see many of his movies (with the exception of The Tooth Fairy).  The movie starts out strong and, as Liz says, fizzles at the end.  Though, I will give it props for just pretty much forgoing dialog and going straight killing.  Good fun, 2.5 out of 5.
