Lottery Ticket:  A guy wins a 3 mil+ lottery and has to survive the three day weekend before he can cash it in.  Of course in that 3 day weekend he is going to face temptation and danger to get that money away from him.  Bow-Wow is in this one, but despite the love I developed for him during Roll Bounce I just don’t think this movie will make it.  Pass and wait for tv.

Nanny McPhee Returns:  A ugly old nanny comes to help kids who don’t want her but need her, and leaves when the kids want her but no longer need her.  The original was cute but by no means my first choice for entertainment.  This should do well with kids this weekend, but don’t look for it to crack the top 5.  Wait for TV on this one.

The Switch:  With Jennifer Aniston as a woman who wants a baby but decides to just have one on her own, this movie has already stirred some controversy.  That is if you consider Bill O’Reilly getting up in arms about someone deciding to have a baby without a man controversy.  Probably another bust for Aniston, wait for a matinee or just rent it later on.

Vampires Suck:  This one actually opens tomorrow (8/18).  Its one of those mock-movies that takes pop culture and twists it.  The previews look funny but knowing the track record for these movies I’m not seeing a big weekend for this one.  Pass on this one, maybe watch it on TV later, if thats your taste.

Piranha 3D:  This is your winner for the weekend, both box office wise, and for your personal entertainment.  Good times will be had by all if you go in knowing this is just escapism, mindless entertainment.  A remake of an old cheesy classic, this will be must see for the weekend.
