I know I am one of the last people watching this show, and I know everyone talks about how weak the episodes are and then how great they are, but seriously this was a great episode after a weak one! We learned all about Sierra tonight (or Prya as she was known before being dollhoused).
We already knew there was this crazy guy who liked to have Sierra as his doll and that Sierra didn’t like him. We learned this from the episode where the dolls were allowed to play out their escape fantasy and she went to his office to confront him. What we didn’t know until tonight was that he stalked her when she was human, used the dollhouse to plan elaborate seduction venues, and then drugged her so that she would appear to be crazy and be put in an institution!! Dude is crazy.
Topher figures all of this out (with the help of super aware Echo) and brings it to DeWitt and the head of security. Unfortunately when DeWitt confronts the psycho he goes above her head to Rossum and has orders sent down to have Sierra permanently imprinted as his doll. Topher has moral issues with this (the true shocker of this episode) and tries to fight it. DeWitt tells him everyone was hired because they had compromised morals, but he was hired because he had no morals. Topher does the imprint, but actually imprints her as Prya and sends her to the psycho. She confronts him, fights him, and then stabs him to death. Topher and head of security help dispose of the body (we saw a hack saw and acid, enough for me). They cover it up and make it look like psycho fled the country and left Sierra behind.
Sierra comes back to dollhouse and goes back to Victor. It was probably the sweetest moment of the night when she realizes she loves Victor even when she is Prya and doesn’t know who he is. Echo meanwhile is reading and apparently preparing for “The Storm”. Here’s hoping we get to find out what that is!
No new episodes until December at which point they are going to be burnt off by running two a night. Hopefully they will get through the whole season. I have a feeling this is our last season so enjoy what we have left.
