As a big fan of the book Where the Wild Things Are this movie had a lot to live up to for me.  It not only met my expectations but exceeded them.  Max Records did a great job playing Max.  It was like he was built to be in this movie.  He was allowed to just be a kid which is a rarity in hollywood these days.  Spike Jonze really brought the world of the Wild Things to life.  It was just as I had thought it would be based on the illustrations in the book.  The voices of the creatures were great and they really conveyed strong emotions.  The movie was a little dark so I would suggest anyone under 10 not seeing this movie.  Overall and excellent movie, and quiet possibly the greatest of the year.

I thought that Spike Jonze missed out on a great opportunity to make something that would be meaningful to adults and children alike; almost the entire movie seemed like nonsense to me
